It’s still winter here.
Snowy and cold.
Our slippers still rest at our bedsides.
We woke up to a white world this morning, melting quickly in the morning sun.
But within a few hours, the flakes were falling again with even greater fury.
Note to self:
Do not try to wear open, springy heels to an evening church service when several inches of snow cover the ground.
Seventeen degrees and snow in May.
This is life in the high Colorado Rockies.
What’s the weather like where you are? Spring? Or maybe Summer?
Remind me that warmer weather always arrives eventually?

consider the beauty around you, you have a great place to live, it was 83 in West Palm Beach yesterday.

Had to laugh about the shoes…that is SO you!! : )
And it’s a beautiful morning here in Omaha…sunny and breezy. Wish you and my boys were here to enjoy it with me!
Love you, my sweet girl!!

I can’t fathom snow in May! Yesterday we all enjoyed watching a little ‘wild’ bunny warming his tummy in the spring sun. Very cute. Hang in there, spring is bound to come at some point. : )

We didn’t quite get snow in May but some fell and the icy winds blew on the 29th of April here. Our “spring” has been quite different this year…sunny days and winter days mingling throughout the entire month of April with snow at least once a week.

Your post is not unfamiliar to me…I’m from Maine. It never surprises us to snow in April or May. Surprisingly however, it has been warm and full of sunshine the last two weeks. We even brought out fans for the windows. Sunshine is coming, just enjoy the gorgeous scenery while you can!

My parents, who moved to Monument last summer, are harboring similar fears. “Is it really like this every year?!?” The only thing the locals will tell them is, “It’s not uncommon to get snow up to the middle of May.”
Gulp.
Have you gotten any tastes of warm weather yet? A few days of sunshine and 70s maybe?

Brr!! That IS cold for May! And here I was complaining of snow in April… we got some last week. It’s still unseasonably cool for this time of year; especially at night and we can’t even think of putting the garden in yet. Too risky! But hey, at least we don’t have snow on the ground anymore =O
I hope your snow melts quickly and Spring makes its way to your doorstep soon. Sending some sunshine your way!

When I got up for church yesterday, it was already 72 degrees with 88% humidity!! We have our garden planted, and tiny green tomatoes are showing up. :-) We’re in Georgia, btw.

Whoooeee! That pictures looks cold.
It has been in the upper 80s here and beautiful! Hopefully things will start warming up for you soon!!!

It’s a beautiful spring day here in Canada! :) Very warm, all the tulips are blooming and the trees are all out! Spring does come eventually! :)

wow! Snow in May??? CRAZY! Today was sunny and blue skies and near 80 degrees here in Kentucky. Blessings to you and your little family in your winter wonderland…even if it is spring. :)

oh my dang! i canNOT believe that winter has lasted this long for you! I miss living in CO, but i do not miss long winters. I miss wearing shorts and a t-shirt during the day and jackets at night. I miss the clean smell of the the aspen. I miss watching as the aspen leaves blow in the wind. They look like they are laughing. makes me smile. I miss the mountains. Their snow capped ways bring me peace.
But dang on the long winter!

It is in the 70s and 80s here. Your post reminds me why I like to visit and not live in the mountains!:)
Been praying for you, I hope everything is going well.

You could come to Denver for the day…it’s supposed to be mid-70′s this afternoon. :-)

I how you feel, missing the sun. We’ve had a mild winter (or so I’ve been told) here in WA, but there were still weeks when I irrationally wanted to just get in the car and drive south until I found some sun. :)
That being said, spring is fully here now, with temps in the 40s and 50s. The grass grows (and grows, and grows) and the flowers are blooming. But when it’s not uber-windy or raining, the weather is quite lovely. :)
You outta come visit. ;)

its amazing beautiful today

Oh, I can definitely speak to you of sunshine! It was almost 90 degrees here today in AZ – sunny, blue skies, breezy. To be honest, it’s *almost* too hot for my taste. How about you send a little cold my way and I’ll send a little warmth your way…and we can meet somewhere in the middle (around 70 degrees)? :)

Quite a bit different than the weather outside my window right now. Stay warm, friend!
