Just wait till his grandpa teaches him that they’re like little baseballs and can be tossed in the air and caught in his mouth.
Guaranteed result: Not only all the peas eaten, but a dinner time full of hilarity and much holding-of-your-stomach-nearly-laughing-until-you-cry for everyone at the table.
Especially when, after each successful attempt on the part of the toddler, he claps and says, “Yay! Yay, Troy!! Clap, Grandma! Clap, Mommy! Clap, Grandpa!”
He’s doesn’t enjoy being the center of attention, no sirree. Can’t you tell?
Best of all, he even asked for more. First time ever.
Now, just what to do about the green beans, corn, carrots and lettuce he won’t touch…

hehe What a cute idea!

I’m telling you, I will MOST DEFINITELY be trying this with my little guy!!! He hates green beans AND corn, because of the hard skins on them. Keep you posted on the results. Lettuce… he sucks the dressing off & carefully places the soggy pieces in a pile on the side of his dish. Nice… :)

I wish I would’ve thought of that when my oldest daughter was little..the ONLY veggie she will touch is corn on the cob! Your boys are too cute!

Very creative we will have to try that out when Elizabeth is old enough to eat and understand the world of sports. Though since she is a girl we will have to use something that applys to girls.

Too bad I didn’t know this when mine were 2, they don’t eat peas at all and this could have saved them.
Oh well, at least yours will make it!!

For Green Beans you put them by the tip in your mouth then suck them in like spaghetti….works great!
