((((Ashleigh)))) Sweetheart, my prayers are with you and your little boys and your precious husband.
“Fear thou not, for I am with thee, be not dismayed, for I am thy God. I will strengthen thee, yea, I will help thee, yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10
I dont really know what to say, because I have no idea what you are going through right now. I feel so blessed to be apart of this morning. I never relized truly what the families went through until I saw it for myself this morning. It was such an emotional few hours to see the men and women leave there families. To see all the children just want their mommies and daddies and just dont understand. I love you and will be here for you through it all, I know that doesnt bring John home and make it any easier but Im here for you!!! Whether you need to go shopping or just to take a nap. I love all of you with all my heart!
I’m so sorry you have to go through this. It makes me cry, especially knowing that mine’s just around the corner. I’ll be praying for you and your family.
Oh sweet Ashleigh! The photo is heart rendering to say the least. Prayers are being lifted up this moment for you and those sweet boys of yours – all 3 of them! God bless.
Words can’t begin to express the emotion I feel for you, John and the boys. I’ll hold all of you in my hardt and prayers, knowing that our Lord will lead and protect in whatever the day will bring, for each one of you. May our Lord make His presence known to each of you..often..and may you rest in Him.
Aw, Ashleigh, I cannot imagine.. It makes ::me:: want to cry for you! *hugs* I have been thinking of you often lately, and praying for you. Will continue to do so! Love to you.
Hi Ashleigh, my wonderful friend, Mel, asked that we stop by with hugs and friendship. Just so you know, you have started an adventure that will forever change you and your family. I speak for experience when I made the same journey in 1968. Your love will grow stronger and you will accomplish things that you would think are imposable today. The next 13 months will be trying and difficult at times, harder for you than for him. You see, he will just be doing a job, you however will fill both roles until he returns. Believe that all will be well, we will be here for you, if you need a shoulder to lean on stop by and visit. I will be adding you to my reader and stopping by to check on you. Best wishes young lady, trust and believe and it will be ok.
My thoughts are with you on this day. How hard this must be but how proud you surely are of your husband! I hold you, and other military families as our modern day heroes…thanks for the sacrifice! Becky K.
I’ve just prayed for you, and will continue to do so when you come to mind. God bless you- may He uphold you and strengthen you beyond comprehension these next thirteen months!
Oh, Ashleigh…More prayers than you know arise for you and your dear family. Thank YOU, and YOUR HUBBY, and YOUR FAMILY for making our country great. Your testimony and witness is a blessing!
Ashleigh, I read these comments and I wonder how can I express to this sweet lady (I don’t even know but so grateful I stumbled on her blog one day) how this post was so touching to my heart. The simple truth is I can’t. I can promise you though your whole family is in my prayers. Ginger
Oh Ashleigh! Tears sprang to my eyes the instant I saw this post! I knew it was coming, but it still hit me. It brings back such fresh memories of my fiance (now husband)’s last deployment.
My heart is with you, dear one and your little ones at this time! You and your family are in my prayers!
Lara (Just up the 5 from you if you ever need anything!)
What a beautiful picture of you and your husband. I am going to print it off and put you up on our fridge so we can be reminded of you both and your sweet boys throughout the day.
Been in the place you are right now twice. I probably can’t offer you any thing you haven’t already heard or thought of yourself a thousand times…….you’ll all be in our daily thoughts and prayers.
Oh, Ashleigh. My eyes are filling up even as I look at this picture. May God’s strength and peace absolutely BLANKET your family during this time. (((hug)))
Asheligh, Remember that His grace abounds in the hard times and that “His strength is made perfect in weakness.” Jesus will be with you, living in your house, helping with the children, holding your hand, while your Beloved is gone. You will never be truly alone. He loves you so very very much; I do, too. You know where to find me if you ever need anything.

I just want to say how thankful I am for all of our military. My dad was a Navy man and my stepdad was in the Air Force. I grew up military. I married an Army man (though he got out before we got married). You and your family will be in my prayers.

Ashleigh, (it’s me again!)- God has placed you so deeply on my heart over the last few days. I know we don’t “know” eachother (!) but I feel like I do! Our lives have so many similarities, being a 20-something Christian mama of two boys 16-months-apart, and both plopped down in the same part of the world here– I was driving through your town yesterday and just felt moved to pray continuously. You are not alone ever, not for one moment, not for one breath. I know you know that, and hear that probably often, but I *pray* that you can *feel* God’s arms wrapped around you, and know beyond a shadow of doubt that He has your beloved in his arms as well. I can’t even imagine how difficult it is. As I go about my day-to-day, with my babies, you are placed in my heart so heavily.

Ashleigh,
Mel sent me over to send my prayers your way. They have worked for her at times so I’m willingly adding you to my prayer list. Keep up the hope and enver stop believing.

May His grace be sufficient, His joy be your strength, and His perfect peace pass all your understanding. You and yours are in my prayers.
God bless you.

I know this is slightly belated, but I just thought I’d let you know that you’re in my thoughts and prayers. I was in Amsterdam when you posted this, and just got on here tonight for the first time since returning to the States. I can’t imagine what it must be like. I’m praying…
Love you!
Julane
